ADMISSION PROCEDURE IN TO UG & PG COURSES

Students are selected and admitted into the various courses purely on merit basis and Roaster System by strictly following the guidelines issued by the Affiliating University and Government.

  • Prospectus is prepared by the Admission Committee which contain the information about the courses offered, fee particulars and facilities provided to the students.

  • Admission notification is released through advertisement in the NEWS papers.

  • Applications are issued to the candidates along with Prospectus

  • Admission committeeis constituted with the help of senior lecturers as conveners

  • Applications are invited, received and scrutinized on merit basis.

  • Selection list and Waiting list are prepared and displayed on the notice board.

  • Eligible candidates are called for interview by posting interview call letters

  • Admissions are done on merit basis and Reservation system.

  • Transparency is ensured.

  • The above mentioned procedure is followed for UG courses.

  • For PG courses admissions are conducted through PGCET and allotted by Yogi Vemana University.

  • Minimum percentage of marks required for admission at entry level for UG courses is 35% only. But regarding 50% of merit seats allotted for open competition, in most of the times, in courses like MPCS, MSCS students with more than 80% only got admission.

  • The admission process is reviewed by the Admission Committee comprising of senior faculty and office staff. If the number of seats are to be increased to meet the demands of the society, a prior permission is to be obtained from the affiliating university i.e. Yogi Vemana University for extra 20% of sanctioned seats.

The following is the rule of reservation for students who belong to the weaker sections of the society, physically challenged, sports and women. For example Course sanctioned strength is 60 the seats are allotted to the students of different category represent as detailed below:

  • To ensure equity among the disadvantaged community (SC/ST/BC) scholarships, fee concession, book banks in the library and hostel facility are provided.

Fee Reimbursement facility is provided by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. SC, ST, BC & Minority Students are provided with Fee Reimbursement facility.  Economically Backward students are also reimbursed.

  • Hostel facility is available in the college campus.

  • Fee concession is extended to students who belong to economically weaker sections.

The poor students with no financial assistance from government are identified and are provided with financial assistance from the college poor students’ fund
